Climate Coaching Psychology is an emerging field of psychology that applies evidence-based coaching methods, underpinned by psychological theories and research, to assist and facilitate individuals, families, groups, communities, societies and organisations to engage meaningfully with the climate and ecological crisis by nurturing self-efficacy, meaning-making, and actionable goals that can support both personal and community wellbeing and sustained pro-environmental engagement.
Through coaching, it can assist clients experiencing climate-related distress such as eco-anxiety to address their personal emotional, behavioural, cognitive, imaginal, and existential dimensions of climate change and develop realistic goals.
