London’s Hidden Track

London’s Hidden Track—a fully youth-led short film created in collaboration between a group of young filmmakers (Elm Visuals) and the London Wildlife Trust Youth Board. Funded by the London Wildlife Trust, the film showcases what young people can achieve when working together and shines a light on the often-overlooked green spaces that already exist across London. At its heart, it also serves as a call to action: to protect, expand, and improve access to nature for young people in our city. The short narrative follows two young Londoners, each overwhelmed by the relentless pace of urban life. Through separate visits to the London Wildlife Trust’s Walthamstow Wetlands, they experience moments of calm, reflection, and renewed connection—to themselves, to each other, and to the natural world around them. The film underscores the mental health benefits of nature, the urgency of preserving green spaces, and the role of community-driven climate action in building a fairer, greener London.
